- Conversation data: messages you send to Memo
- Usage data: how you interact with our service

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Personalize your experience with Memo
- Build and maintain your memory profile to improve conversations
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
3. Memory and AI Data
Memo builds a memory of facts about you to improve conversation quality. This memory is stored securely in our database and is used solely to personalize your experience. You can view and delete your memory at any time from your Settings page.
Your conversations are used to train and improve our AI models only in anonymized, aggregated form. We never sell your personal conversation data to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:
- Service providers who assist in our operations (e.g., database hosting, payment processing)
- Law enforcement when required by law
- Other parties with your consent
5. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your personal information:
- Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS)
- Encryption at rest: Your data is stored in encrypted databases provided by Supabase (AES-256)
- Authentication: Secure token-based authentication with automatic session management
- Access control: Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure you can only access your own data
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we apply best practices to protect your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is retained for 12 months by default. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your conversation history
- Opt out of marketing communications
8. Children's Privacy
Memo is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
10. Service Availability
Memo is currently available to users in the United States. If you access Memo from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We do not currently target or market to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom.
